Construction Equipment Operators - Overview

Overview

The programs in the animal biology subcluster teach people about animals and their life processes. Students learn about the body structures of animals, down to the level of the cells. They learn how to do scientific research about animals.

You may study animals for a variety of reasons. If your interest is agriculture, you may want to raise better livestock or prevent the attacks of pests. If your interest is human health, you may want to prevent the spread of disease or gain insights into how the human body works. Or you may be interested in animals' health with the goal of preserving wildlife or contributing to veterinary science.

However you choose to specialize in this subcluster, you may enter the work force with a bachelor's degree - as a government official or in sales, for example. Another career possibility is in research; with a master's or doctoral degree, you can contribute to scientific and practical knowledge.
